Hospice Care

Providing emotional and physical comfort

Providing specialized care to patients when illnesses no longer respond to aggressive, cure-oriented treatments. We provide a special program of care that helps patients receive emotional and physical comfort.

Hospice provides medical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and families coping with life-limiting illnesses. Care is provided by a team-oriented group of specially trained professionals, volunteers and family members. Our hospice program acts as an extension of the primary caregiver and addresses all symptoms of the disease, with special emphasis on controlling the patient's pain and discomfort. Hospice partners assist by making regularly scheduled visits to provide care and comfort, and by being available around the clock to answer end of life questions. We strive to help patients and families understand what to expect across the disease process. With education, hands on care, and being a shoulder to cry on, we want to make every day count. End of life is inevitable, but how one spends the precious time left is a personal choice.

Through the NHC HealthCare, Laurens and Caris partnership, we can help relieve some of the burdens, allowing the patient and family to spend their time together comfortably and better prepared for what is to come.

Caris HealthCare, L.P. specializes in hospice care services in NHC owned healthcare centers located in TN, MO, SC and VA.
